ADVANCE AUTO PARTS' FAN NUMERO UNO

Advance Auto Parts introduced its No. 1 fan, Ed Vance, shaking up the category by giving voice of an emerging segment of automobile enthusiasts – those learning to DIY and craving a partner on their journey.

In Ed Vance, Advance provided an authentic, relatable, entertaining and bilingual voice to embody, represent and connect with these modern DIYers, living alongside them in their DIY journey. And his name happens to sound like the brand … Ed Vance loves Advance.

The launch campaign was developed through a collaboration of Advance partners, including TMA (creative), dentsu X (media), Dieste (Hispanic), BBMG (sonic branding) and FleishmanHillard (PR).

As Harris Wilkinson, Chief Creative Officer at TMA, remarked, “Ed Vance is a superfan whose passion for Advance will help everyone see what sets this franchise apart. After all, Advance Team Members are also DIYers.” He added, “Ed is a truly bilingual character, played by a bilingual actor, who can reach English- and Spanish-speaking audiences alike.”
